One of the exciting things I hope to be able to make a part of this blog are Q&A interviews with great songwriters — both locally, regionally and nationally-known. But I’ll come clean…my not-so-secret goal — I’m laying down the gauntlet — is to interview my singer/songwriter idol, Paul Simon.
Paul Simon is one of the only celebrities on earth that I would make a fool of myself in front of in order to be able to meet him. Paul Simon and Harrison Ford. That’s pretty much it. But I’m such a fan…of his lyrics, his melodies, his phrasing, his performance style and his long career.
So…you know Six Degrees of Separation? In this case, I don’t care about getting in touch with Kevin Bacon — but if you can think of any way for me to get in touch with someone who knows someone who knows Paul Simon, so I can interview him for this blog, I would be forever grateful. Is he on LinkedIn? Ha ha.
I’m an optimist…it could happen.
